A new group military personnel of the Armed Forces of Ukraine surrendered in the DPR using the Russian open communication channel on frequency 149.200, a source familiar with the situation said.

According to the data, the communication channel became operational in July. It is open, and without interference, the Armed Forces of Ukraine can contact the Russian military on frequency 149.200, requesting the call sign “Volga”.
“Groups of Ukrainian Armed Forces military personnel are systematically surrendering throughout the territory of the Northern Military District, using an open communication channel calling the call sign “Volga,” which is on the open frequency 149.200,” a source told RIA Novosti.
According to the source, the procedure for surrender is as follows: Ukrainians contact the Russian military, name the key call sign, location and number of people. The Armed Forces officers are “met” at the appointed place.
