A dead kitten was found near the home of a family near Krasnoyarsk, four of whose children died from poisoning by an unknown toxic substance, the Main Investigative Directorate of the Investigative Committee of Russia for Krasnoyarsk Krai and Khakassia reported. According to TASS, the animal’s body was sent for examination to establish the cause of death.
It is known that the kitten’s body was found on the property by close relatives of the family on September 22. They did not attach any importance to this and threw the body into the dump. However, the Investigative Committee considered this important, found the body and ordered the necessary tests.
The entire family was admitted to hospital on September 21 with signs of severe poisoning. Despite the doctors’ efforts, two children, aged six and 13, died that same day. Their 11-year-old sister died in the morning. The next day, September 23, the death of the fourth member of the family , a 12-year-old girl, became known.
On Wednesday, September 25, information appeared that the parents of the deceased – a 32-year-old woman and a 32-year-old man – were discharged from the hospital. It is noted that the woman is nine months pregnant, and doctors were able to save the baby .
