A Russian fighter went to the SVO zone because of a quarrel with his wife

Mixed martial arts (MMA) fighter known for his scandalous actions Vyacheslav Datsikwho was repeatedly behind bars, admitted that he decided to go to the special military operation (SVO) zone in Ukraine after a conflict with his wife Victoria, Gazeta.Ru reports.

“I headed to St. Petersburg for the fights, and my wife sent my things after me. We had a quarrel, and I quickly decided to go there,” Datsik said.

The fighter arrived in the Northern Military District zone in mid-September, signing an open-ended contract with the Russian Ministry of Defense just a few weeks later. He also noted that he managed to make many new acquaintances in the Northern Military District zone.

43-year-old Datsik has seven wins and nine losses in MMA. In August 2023, he managed to win by knockout over a former fighter of the Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC), a Briton Oli Thompson in Moscow.

Despite serving in the Northern Military District zone, Datsik was able to fight on October 28 against a representative of Belarus Peter Romankevich at the REN TV Fight Club tournament. In this fight, Datsik was defeated in the second round by technical knockout.
