In the press service of the military garrison court in Yuzhno-Sakhalinsk reported that the serviceman was found guilty of failure to comply with an order. He was sentenced to 2 years and 10 months in prison. The court found that the fighter committed a crime under Part 2.1 of Article 332 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation.

During the court hearing, it was established that on July 25, the man did not comply with the order that the commander of the military unit gave him, because the military man was afraid for his life. According to this order, the soldier was supposed to go to Ukraine on July 27 to participate in hostilities, but on the specified day he did not report for duty. The next day, he again refused to carry out the commander’s order, while being in the presence of his colleagues.

The court took into account that the serviceman did not hide his refusal from his comrades, trying to get their support. Witnesses in court said that this influenced other military personnel who had not previously committed similar crimes, and they also began to remain inactive. In addition, the court took into account that the crime was committed during the period of mobilization.
