Vyacheslav Grishechkin Over the course of his 60-something years, he played several hundred roles in film, television and theater (mainly at the Theater in the South-West, to which he remained faithful for decades). Among the series with his participation are “Turkish March”, “What the Dead Man Said”, “Secrets of Palace Coups”, “Kamenskaya”, “Happy Together”, “Margosha”. Several times he played Lavrentiy Beria – the makeup made him look like Stalin’s murderer. But his most famous role, without a doubt, was Alexander Stepanovich Starokon from the TV series “Soldiers” (from 2005 to 2013, while he played him, the character rose from major to colonel).
Vyacheslav Germanovich was born in 1962 in Sochi, he has Russian, Georgian and Greek blood mixed in him. While still at school, I became passionate about theater, then entered GITIS. In addition to the Theater in the South-West, he worked at RAMT. He began acting in films in the late 80s, making his debut in an episode of the film “The Bandit and the King.”
The actor was married twice, and with the first marriage everything was not easy. He was in love with a woman named Anna, but she married his friend. And Vyacheslav in return married her friend. He soon had a daughter, but otherwise this love square did not bring happiness to anyone: it all ended with Grishechkin declaring his love to Anna, they both left their spouses and finally got married.
Grishechkin later called his marriage to Anna the main event in his life. And her death, without a doubt, became the main tragedy in his life. Back in 2013, Anna was diagnosed with cancer; she struggled with it for several years and died in 2017. It was a disaster. Vyacheslav Germanovich began to drink heavily, by his own admission, he thought about suicide (later, being a religious person, he called these thoughts madness). I ordered myself a ring with diamonds from my wife’s jewelry set into it, and wore it without taking it off. He said that his own birthday, June 28, ceased to exist for him: his wife died on June 8, and the number 8 in combination with the month of June became hateful to him. He didn’t change anything in his wife’s room: everything remained exactly the same as it was during life, no one touched her computer.
It took him a long time to get out of severe depression. He poured out his soul in numerous interviews. In the end, close people (mother and mother-in-law), teaching and communication with students helped (he headed the theater studio at the Moscow University of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Russia). Finally, the dog he got after the death of his wife helped (and he said in an interview: “It even seems to me that a piece of Anya’s soul has moved into her. A unique dog, very smart, and always next to me, does not take his eyes off”).
And then a new love appeared in his life, producer Diana Bicharova. He proposed to her with a ring worth 1.5 million rubles. I set the wedding for June 28th. But the combination of eight with June really turned out to be fatal. Instead of marrying Grishechkin, the woman returned to her ex-husband, remarrying him. However, the artist and Diana parted on good terms: he even sent her a video congratulation. “Du-du, hello! It’s a pity that we broke up. – But I am sure that you have a new, stormy and correct life. Love this person. Love not like me, but love more, stronger and brighter. The necklace I gave you will bring you happiness. Wear it with pleasure on any holidays, any meetings you have with him. I am very sad, but be that as it may, I will live, I will always remember you. You are in my heart. Love you…”
In an interview published in 2019, Vyacheslav Germanovich said: “I am a healthy, strong man.” Alas, his health failed him. At the beginning of 2023, he was hospitalized with a suspected heart attack. Before, when his heart was hurting, he was fond of some kind of therapy, tried to be treated using his own method, and it all ended with a stent being placed on the vessel…
A few months later after being in the hospital, a heart attack still happened. And it turned out to be fatal. Diana Bicharova told the site KP.RU, “Slava and I saw each other quite recently. He was supposed to go on tour with our movement “Artists for the Soldiers of Russia” to St. Petersburg. The tickets were purchased, and then he called and said that he could not due to poor health. And on September 15, Vyacheslav’s nephew Maxim called me and said that he was no longer there. My heart couldn’t stand it. We are all in shock! “
