Banksy’s real name revealed: BBC releases old interview

British street artist Banksy revealed his name in an old interview published on the BBC Sounds website.

In 2003, a journalist Nigel Wrench asked the artist if it was possible to use his real name, previously approved by The Independent newspaper – Robert Banks. In response, the artist called himself “Robbie“.

According to The Independent, Banksy may be hiding under the pseudonym Robin Gunninghama graduate of the Cathedral School in Bristol, although Banksy himself did not confirm this information, Gazeta.Ru reports.

There is also a version that the artist could be Robert Del Naya member of the musical group Massive Attack, who was a former graffiti artist.
