Biden and Xi Jinping agreed to a new meeting after the APEC summit

At a regular briefing, the White House National Security Council (NSC) Coordinator for Strategic Communications, John Kirbyannounced the agreement of the President of the People’s Republic of China Xi Jinping and the US President Joe Biden about holding a new personal meeting.

The leaders’ talks, held in San Francisco on the sidelines of the APEC summit, concluded in agreement on a future meeting. Kirby noted that an exact date has not yet been set. Earlier, jokingly suggesting extending the summit for another five days, Biden emphasized plans to continue dialogue with Xi Jinping.

The PRC leader, in turn, acknowledged the correctness of the chosen course for developing relations with the United States, outlined during their meeting in California.
