Chemical diet of Osama Hamdiy: more disadvantages than advantages

Diabetes is spreading so rapidly, first of all, due to poor nutrition, too much saturated fat, added sugar, and fast carbohydrates in the diet. It is important to eat a balanced diet regularly, and not to go on one or another diet occasionally, the expert notes.

Osama Hamdiy’s diet is based on changes in chemical processes in the body, which trigger weight loss. The body begins to actively use its own fat reserves (there is nothing else left for it, given the scarcity of the diet). But the main thing is that the diet lowers blood sugar levels, which, without a doubt, is an important result.

However, this diet should be approached with caution, as it will not suit:

  • people with gastrointestinal diseases,
  • children and teenagers,
  • pregnant and lactating women.

As part of a chemical diet, you should consume almost all vegetables and fruits; the following are suitable for meat:

  • rabbit,
  • steamed chicken breast,
  • unfried eggs,
  • lean fish,
  • green tea and grapefruit juice.

We exclude:

  • too sweet fruits (bananas, mangoes, grapes, figs),
  • rice,
  • any sweets,
  • dairy products,
  • red meat and processed meat products,
  • butter,
  • coffee and sweet drinks,
  • other foods with a high glycemic index (caviar, potatoes, nuts, alcohol).

Next, you should scrupulously follow the prescribed menu for 4 weeks. This is quite difficult to do, since the diet is very meager: for example, on one day, all meals during the day consist of only two boiled eggs, three tomatoes, lettuce leaves and grapefruit juice. It’s not surprising that you’ll lose weight, since there’s not much to eat.

“With strict adherence to this diet, you can lose up to 10% of your body weight in a month. But the effect in the long term will most likely be negative, since you will receive psychological trauma from such strict food abstinence, and the kilograms will most likely return. On the one hand, The Hamdiy diet sets the right goals, includes healthy foods and excludes harmful ones. But the methods are too harsh even for a healthy person,” the expert notes.
