Eurovision winner Jamala put on the wanted list by the Russian Ministry of Internal Affairs

Ukrainian singer Jamala (real name – Susana Dzhamaladinova) is wanted.

TASS reported this on Monday, November 20, with reference to the search database of the Russian Ministry of Internal Affairs.

“Dzhamaladinova Susana Alimovna is wanted under an article of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation,” the message says.

At the same time, it is not indicated in the database under which article the search for the Ukrainian singer and actress is being carried out.

Jamala became known to the general public in 2016 after winning the Eurovision song contest, where she performed the song “1944” about the fate of the Crimean Tatars.

Many considered Jamala’s song to be extremely politicized, which influenced the choice of many viewers and the jury, who awarded her first place in order to “annoy Russia.”
