Endocrinologist Irina Petrova in an interview for Lenta.ru, she shared information about the high risk of disrupting the usual diet on New Year’s Eve due to overeating. To avoid this, it is recommended to resort to certain methods.

One way to prevent overeating is to stick to a regular eating schedule on December 31st, which will help keep your body properly full and avoid feelings of hunger. Petrova also suggested including high-quality proteins and vegetables in the diet, as well as monitoring water levels in the body.

The endocrinologist noted that the festive atmosphere has a positive effect on appetite, thanks to happiness hormones. Petrova advised diversifying your free time on holidays in order to get rich experiences without connecting them with eating food.
