Kommersant has obtained letters in which food producers notify retailers of a 5-40% increase in purchase prices in August-September 2024. Similar appeals were sent by confectionery producers Mars, Ritter Sport, Dymka and Slavyanka, dairy producers Wimm-Bill-Dann, Viola, Ekomilk, Health & Nutrition (formerly Danone),Milkom”, “Piskarevsky Molzavod”, bread “Karavai”, beer drinks “Baltika” and AB InBev Efes. These producers, as well as representatives of “Magnet”, X5, “Azbuka Vkusa”, “Lenta” and Metro Cash & Carry “Kommersant” did not respond. But the receipt of all the requests was confirmed by the interlocutor of “Kommersant” in one of the retail chains, calling the surge atypical and ruling out seasonality.
