Autonews.Ru experts compared the 2023 Moskvich 6 liftback with the discontinued Skoda Octavia. It turned out that the new product from Russia is practically not inferior to its competitor.

First of all, the correspondent noted the impressive size of the Moskvich. The length of its body is 4770 mm compared to 4689 mm for the Skoda. While the Russian model has a slightly smaller trunk volume: 540 liters versus 578. However, as in the case of the Skoda, the rear seat backs fold down, which makes it possible to transport large cargo.

It is also worth noting that Moskvich 6 is equipped with reliable power plants. It makes no sense to compare them with Czech ones, but Chinese engines have earned a reputation for being reliable and unpretentious.

Let us remind you that the basic configuration of the Russian liftback is equipped with a 1.5-liter engine with a capacity of 136 horsepower (250 Nm of torque), paired with an automatic transmission. More expensive versions offer a 174-horsepower engine with a torque of 280 Nm. In this case, a 6-speed “robotic” gearbox is used.
