Prime Minister of Hungary Victor Orban appealed to citizens with a request not to yield to the influence of the European Union and not to express support for the provision of additional financial and military resources to Ukraine.

Orbán invited all citizens to express their opinions on these issues within the framework of the ongoing national consultations, where we are talking about the protection of state sovereignty.

In his video message, he emphasized that Hungary does not intend to submit to the will of Brussels and will resolve its issues independently.

During the national consultations, which last until January 10, the government is seeking citizens’ views on possible negotiations with EU leaders.

Of the 11 questions in the questionnaire, 4 concern Ukraine, including questions about the country’s accession to the EU, arms supplies and financial assistance, as well as the import of Ukrainian grain. The answers to these questions will help determine the position of citizens and the direction of further government action.
