No more diseases: patients in Russia will have access to innovative medicines without courts

The All-Russian Union of Patients proposed that the government create a new structure to provide adult patients with innovative medicines, similar to the “Circle of Good” state fund for children.

The proposal aims to address the issue of drug availability for patients with rare diseases once they grow out of childhood. This is reported by News.

As part of the proposed roadmap, VSP also proposes to integrate modern drugs into the state guarantee program and provide access to them before their registration in Russia.

The Ministry of Health promises to consider the proposal, but notes a reduction in the burden on the budgets of the regions, which should already provide for such patients.
