Murmansk, Arkhangelsk, Dikson, Tiksi and Pevek are the Arctic ports that need to be developed first and foremost so that the Northern Sea Route becomes one of Russia’s main transport arteries, said Nikolai Patrushev, an aide to the Russian President who oversees national maritime policy.
