Telegram messenger is introducing a new feature called “Stories for Channels”, it announced Pavel Durov, founder of Telegram. Durov shared the news, saying: “This day has come. Telegram channels can now publish stories!” He emphasized that a voting system will be introduced for the channels, allowing users to vote for their favorite channels in order to be able to publish stories.

Durov clarified that only users with a premium subscription will be able to cast their votes for channels. The more votes a channel receives, the more stories it can publish every day. Durov also mentioned that users can only distribute their “voice” to another channel once a day. In addition to this voting system, Durov announced about introducing reactions to stories, personal data and statuses.

It is worth noting that Durov previously stated that Telegram stories will be available to both users with and without premium accounts. He suggested that the move would mark the start of a new phase for Telegram as a social network and positioned it as a platform leading to innovation in social media.
