Pussy Riot founder Nadezhda Tolokonnikova arrested

The Moscow City Court arrested one of the founders of Pussy Riot in absentia Nadezhda Tolokonnikova (recognized as a foreign agent in the Russian Federation), the press service of the authority reported on Tuesday.

Earlier, the Babushkinsky Court of Moscow rejected a petition for her arrestthis decision has now been reversed.

“A preventive measure in the form of detention was chosen against Tolokonnikova,” the court clarified.

A criminal case is being investigated against the star of the scandalous punk band for insulting the feelings of believers (Part 1 of Article 148 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation) for some of her posts on social networks. Details are not disclosed.

Tolokonnikova is on the federal wanted list. Now she lives, according to some sources, in the USA, although recently she came to the Russian Embassy in London to protest against the disproportionately cruel sentence artist Sasha Skochilenko.
