According to the investigation, in April 1943 he joined the 14th SS Volunteer Infantry Division “Galicia”, which pursued Nazi ideas. As part of the formation, from February 23 to 28, the accused, together with other persons, carried out a massacre of at least 500 citizens of the USSR in the territory of the former village of Guta Penyatskaya.
