Sovcombank and Skolkovo are launching a digital support project for NPOs

Sovcombank and Skolkovo (VEB.RF Group) announced the launch of the federal project “Technologies for Good”. Its main goal is to support socially oriented non-profit organizations (NPOs) and charitable foundations. The project will help legal entities engaged in the social sector to conduct their operational activities and gain access to modern digital and banking products.
The Technology of Good platform operates in a marketplace format with services from the organizers and partners of the project. On the online platform, NPOs can select the digital and financial products necessary for their work and, after a simplified verification, gain access to them free of charge or on a preferential basis.
The initiator of the project and developer of the “Technologies for Good” portal was Sovcombank. In addition, the bank provides banking services and IT support to NPOs. On behalf of Skolkovo, Sk Fintech Hub, one of the leading innovative hubs in the field of financial technologies, is participating in the project. He acts as an aggregator for the development of the PhilTech direction, and is also responsible for attracting partners to the project and combining the resources of Skolkovo resident startups on the platform.
“Digitalization is becoming fundamentally important for the sustainability and efficiency of the non-profit sector. We want to help NPOs simplify their technical processes and routine tasks so that they can devote more time to their core activity – helping beneficiaries,” – spoke about the project Deputy Chairman of the Board PJSC “Sovcombank” Albert Boris.
Potential users took part in the development of the platform concept. The organizers analyzed the needs of NPOs in this area and interviewed 20 experts representing various non-profit organizations. As a result, the creators of the project selected the most popular requests from NGOs that will help solve “Technologies for Good.” On the platform, charitable foundations and non-profit organizations can receive free banking services, a service for organizing the collection of donations without commissions to a current account in any bank, transfers through the Fast Payment System without commissions, free comprehensive technical support throughout Russia and other services.
According to Executive Director of Sk Fintech Hub Pavel Novikovthe main obstacles to the successful operation of NPOs today are inefficiency in raising funds, problems with the distribution of products and services, and difficulties with reporting.
“The goal of our set of initiatives is to increase the efficiency and transparency of the industry through more active digitalization of the NPO sector, as well as with the help of partners from various industries and sectors of the economy attracted to the project,” – noted Pavel Novikov.
The VK company will take part in the project, including the group’s educational platforms Skillbox and Lerna.ru, as well as Softline and Scan-Interfax. In the near future, their products will appear on the “Technologies for Good” platform. Users will have access to SMM promotion, educational courses, media monitoring, an online task manager and other resources.
“Participation in this project will allow us to provide support to NGOs in matters of professional development,” told Alexander Lind, CEO of the corporate online course platform Lerna.ru (part of Skillbox Holding Limited). “Training and improving professional skills can further lead to the scaling of social campaigns and charitable projects, and therefore improve the quality of life of people who need special attention and support.”
