The Central Bank published a letter in which it obliged rating agencies (RAs) to disclose the rating assigned to the company and the forecast for it in the presence of an agreement.
The Bank of Russia believes that a credit rating agency should disclose the assigned credit rating and its forecast after the rating committee has decided to assign it. The regulator calls for disclosing the level of rating regardless of whether the rated person agrees with it, and whether they filed a reasoned appeal or terminated the contract.
βThis will ensure transparency and independence in the activities of credit rating agencies.β – the Central Bank says in its comments.
