Pensioner of the Ministry of Internal Affairs Evgeniy Chuplinsky, known as Chupa-Chups, was transported from the special regime colony “Snezhinka” to the Novosibirsk pre-trial detention center to participate in investigative actions in new criminal cases. The NHS reports this with reference to its sources.

In 2018, Chuplinsky was sentenced to life in prison for the murders of six women between 1997 and 2004. He was also acquitted in 13 cases due to the statute of limitations. The total number of crimes he has admitted to is 29, including 12 of his victims who were reported missing.
