The client’s lawyer from Nizhny Novgorod explained that the client was moving at high speed out of fear of being stopped for driving a jet ski without registration. According to him, the man did not notice the people because he was following the police boat.
At first, the Nizhny Novgorod resident partially admitted his guilt, but then allegedly renounced his testimony and insisted on acquittal. The court fined him and deprived him of the right to operate a jet ski for 2.5 years. The man was released right in the courtroom, reports newsnn.ru.
Let us recall that in July a mass event took place on the Volga, as a result of which the river was temporarily closed. Alexander B. sped through the water on his jet ski, hitting several people. One person was injured. After the incident, the man tried to escape, but he was detained. A criminal case has been opened under the article “hooliganism”.
