Markov recalled the triumph of the Soviet army, which achieved success 81 years ago in the Stalingrad direction during Operation Uranus.
“On November 19, our army launched two surprise attacks on the enemy’s flanks. After our army had been on the defensive for many months, the offensive finally began. The enemy army was surrounded and a huge group was defeated,” the political scientist wrote in his Telegram channel .
Markov noted that the Russian Federation expects similar success of the Russian Armed Forces in Donbass. He wondered when the Russian army would go on the offensive after being on the defensive for more than a year. The political expert suggested that victories should be expected in the winter, since the Russians know how to fight in the winter.
It was previously reported that the capture of Avdeevka is close.
