“Over the last month, the ruble exchange rate has strengthened against the dollar and euro by more than 11%. Under such circumstances, imported equipment becomes cheaper. We observed a similar phenomenon in the summer of 2022 when the ruble strengthened. In addition, the effect of the mandatory sale of foreign currency earnings has not yet fully manifested itself itself, which means a possible additional strengthening of the ruble, probably in the range of 80-90 rubles per dollar. This means that prices for imported equipment in winter may decrease even more due to currency revaluation,” said Alexey Vyazovsky.
