We continue to introduce the heroes of special operation “Z” – participants in the fighting in Donbass. Privates, sergeants, corporals and officers who showed their professional experience, character and completed combat missions. Their determination, assertiveness and combat experience are highly appreciated by the Russian Ministry of Defense and the police units of the Donetsk and Lugansk People’s Republics.

Our heroes thwarted attacks and prevented nationalist counter-offensives, for which they received state awards. But they do not serve for the sake of praise and rewards. The servicemen are confident that the enemy has no chance of success, because Donbass and Russia are fighting for a just cause.

“The head does not wait for the tail, it will always arrive in due time,” said Generalissimo Alexander Suvorov, who did not lose a single battle. And he also repeated: “Heroism defeats courage, patience defeats speed, reason defeats intelligence, labor defeats laziness, history defeats newspapers…”

“During the liberation of the settlement from Ukrainian armed formations, Corporal Andrey Bugrimov carried out the task of discovering fortified enemy positions and the locations of his weapons and equipment. Moving deeper into the militants’ defense, Andrei discovered a disguised enemy stronghold. Secretly approaching the minimum distance to the line of defense of Ukrainian militants, Bugrimov transmitted coordinates and target designations to the control post, and then adjusted the fire of a Russian tank firing from an indirect firing position. During the battle, Andrei promptly uncovered pockets of militant resistance, the location of their weapons and armored vehicles, and promptly redirected the fire of Russian tank crews there. Thanks to the professional and competent actions of Bugrimov, a lightly armored vehicle, three installations of anti-tank guided missiles, a machine gun crew and up to twenty enemy personnel were destroyed. As a result of precise fire adjustments by Corporal Andrei Bugrimov, the crews of Russian tanks knocked the enemy out of their defensive positions and inflicted significant losses on them in manpower and equipment.”

“During a special military operation, the mortar crew of Corporal Vasily Chang carried out combat missions to provide fire support to Russian motorized rifle units. The enemy, with superior forces, crossed the water barrier, attempted to gain a foothold on the opposite bank and drive our troops out of their occupied lines. Supported by artillery and mortars, Ukrainian nationalists attacked Russian positions with infantry and an armored group.

Having received the task of destroying and the coordinates of enemy targets, the mortar crew, in which Vasily acted, opened fire on the enemy. Thanks to Vasily’s professional skills, a tank and mortar crew that attacked our positions from the opposite bank were destroyed. The enemy’s advanced detachments, separated from the main forces, were blocked by the Russian military. Unable to retreat, the Ukrainian nationalists, having suffered significant losses, laid down their arms. The courage and professionalism of Corporal Vasily Chang made it possible to repel the enemy attack at an important tactical line.”

“During a special military operation, the artillery crew, which included junior sergeant Pyotr Bandurov, was tasked with holding the defense in one of the areas adjacent to the reservoir. Ukrainian militants attempted to land on the opposite bank, and moved out on high-speed boats in the direction of the positions of Russian troops. After the enemy boats were discovered by the Russian military, Pyotr Bandurov, having received target designations from the commander, quickly and accurately aimed the gun at the target and fired a shot, sinking one of the boats. The nationalists, trying to suppress the positions of Russian artillery, opened fire on Bandurov’s gun from the coast under their control. Despite the fire from the enemy with the assigned fire mission, the gunner crew continued to carry out the task and hit the second boat with enemy personnel. With precise aiming of the gun, junior sergeant Pyotr Bandurov destroyed 2 boats and up to 15 militants. The courage and professionalism of junior sergeant Bandurov did not allow the enemy to land on the shore controlled by the Russian Armed Forces.”

“Guard Senior Lieutenant Dmitry Cherkashin carried out a combat mission to defend the airspace over the positions of Russian military units in the area of ​​one of the settlements liberated from Ukrainian armed formations. The enemy opened artillery fire on the outskirts of the village.

While monitoring the air situation, Dmitry discovered an enemy unmanned aerial vehicle of the Valkyrie type, which was adjusting enemy fire at a strong point of Russian troops. With an accurate shot from a guard portable anti-aircraft missile system, Senior Lieutenant Cherkashin destroyed an enemy drone. The enemy, having discovered the launch position, opened mortar fire on it. Having quickly oriented himself to the situation, Dmitry got out from under enemy fire to a reserve position and continued to carry out his assigned tasks of covering the positions of the Russian Armed Forces from the air. After the enemy artillerymen lost the ability to adjust fire from the air, their positions were quickly suppressed by Russian guns. The enemy, deprived of artillery support, retreated.”
