Prime Minister Moldova Dorin Rechan during a visit to Germany plans to meet with the Chancellor of Germany from September 27 to 29 Olaf Scholz and discuss in particular support Berlin in the process of the country’s accession to European Union (EU). It is noted that Recan will also hold several meetings with members of parliament, ministers and businessmen of Germany. At the meetings, investment opportunities in Moldova will be discussed to attract businessmen from Germany, measures to strengthen energy security, as well as the promotion of Moldovan products to the EU market, Voda noted.

In August, the President of the Republic Maia Sandu statedthat joining the European Union is vital for Moldova. “Moldova can only survive as a democratic state by becoming part of the European family,” the president said, adding that Kishinev continues its course towards European integration, since it should not “be in the gray zone”.
