Hoengseong-gun, 250m deck walkway added… 2.5km perimeter road completed
(Hoengseong = Yonhap News) Reporter Lee Jae-hyun = A walking trail has been created in Gosiri, Cheongil-myeon, Hoengseong-gun, widely known as the location for the movie 'Don't Cross That River, My Love'.
The military announced on the 24th that it invested 150 million won in military funds to create an additional 250m tech walkway along the 2.5km perimeter road in Gosiri, opening it to residents and tourists.
A walking trail has been built since 2016 to accommodate visitors to this area, which is well-known as a location in a movie.
However, as the issue of being unable to fully utilize some sections of the trail due to inaccessibility on foot was raised, construction of a natural wood deck road began in May and was recently completed.
This pedestrian walkway construction project connects the perimeter road, allowing residents and visitors to use it as a comfortable walking path.
Domanjo, head of the Culture and Tourism Division, said, “We expect the beautiful natural scenery of the Gosiri Trail to become another tourist attraction in Hoengseong.”
