The trial of a driver who killed 10 people in Azilal begins – Today 24

Today, Monday, the Court of First Instance in Azilal decided to postpone the trial of the driver accused in a traffic accident that resulted in the death of several passengers in Azilal, to a session next April 4.

The accused’s lawyer, Hassan Oouda, explained in a statement to “Al-Youm 24” that the postponement decision comes at the request of the civil party’s defense body, with the aim of submitting civil demands.

The investigations, which were conducted by the Royal Gendarmerie in Azilal under the supervision of the Public Prosecution, revealed the details of the accident and the driver’s involvement in the unintended mistake, as he got out of his car to help tourists without taking the necessary precautions. This led to the death of 10 people, including students and teachers, on a road linking Ait Bououli and Ait Boukmaz in the Azilal province.

It is noteworthy that the driver is under arrest in the local prison of Azilal, and is facing a charge of manslaughter.
