Theater and film actor Alexey Yanin died at the age of 40. This was reported by the press service of the Russian Academic Youth Theater.

The actor passed away after notifying his loved ones.

“Today Lyosha passed away. Since September 2, he was in intensive care, but his heart could not stand it,” the message reads.

The Russian Academic Youth Theater (RAMT) emphasized that for the past eight years, Yanin has been battling the consequences of a serious stroke. The actor turned 40 in March this year.

The theater administration expressed condolences to the actor’s family and friends and will announce the time and place of farewell later.

In May 2015, Yanin suffered a massive stroke, which left him bedridden. His mother Olga and stepfather Nikolai took care of him. The actor’s wife, Star Factory participant Daria Klyushnikova, did not comment on rumors of a breakup with Yanin. According to the actor’s mother, his wife and son lived separately, but regularly visited the actor.
