Thunderstorms, snowfalls, and strong winds expected today and tomorrow (warning notice)

The General Directorate of Meteorology reported that strong locally thunderstorm rain showers, snowfalls above 1,500 metres, as well as strong wind gusts with flying dust, will affect a number of regions of the Kingdom today, Monday and tomorrow, Tuesday.

The Directorate stated, in a warning bulletin from the orange alert level, that locally strong thundershowers (from 20 to 35 mm) are expected in Sidi Bennour, El Jadida, Berrechid, Safi and Essaouira, from eight in the morning until one in the afternoon on Monday, noting that The same phenomenon will concern Azilal, Kelaat Essraghna, Fkih Bensalah and Al Haouz, starting at twelve o’clock in the afternoon and until eight o’clock in the evening of the same day.

The same source indicated that snowfalls above 1,500 meters (15-30 cm) are expected in Azilal, Beni Mellal, Al Haouz, Taza, Ifrane, Sefrou, Khenifra, Midelt, Ouarzazate and Tinghir, from nine in the morning until eight in the evening tomorrow, Tuesday.

The Directorate also added that strong wind gusts with local dust (75-90 km/h) are expected in Errachidia, Nador, Midelt, Tinhir, Figuig, Taourirt, Guercif, Zagora, Ouarzazate and Oujda Angad, tomorrow, Tuesday, from twelve o’clock in the afternoon until eight o’clock in the evening.
