Tenerife – an island located in the Atlantic Ocean has long attracted the attention of tourists from all over the world. Its natural beauty and location make it an ideal escape from the hustle and bustle of everyday life. Those who have visited it on holiday often describe a unique experience, as if time drags on here or even stops, reports the Rambler portal.

Scientists have studied this phenomenon and come to the conclusion that it is associated with a special gravitational effect. It is thanks to this effect that in Tenerife people feel calmer and enjoy every minute of their lives.

The discovery of the mystery of time dilation caused many hypotheses. Some scientists believe this may be due to active volcanic activity in the region, which causes geomagnetic fluctuations that affect the passage of time. Others believe it may be the result of external factors.

However, there are also those who doubts in a physical phenomenon, arguing that simply a favorable climate, ecology and positive mood make the islanders’ lives happy and long. Researchers from Spain are also interested in this phenomenon and plan to test Tenerife for gravitational anomalies.
