New rules of technical regulations, in force throughout Russia since September, provide for the mandatory installation of winter tires on vehicles of categories M1 (passenger cars) and N1 (trucks with a maximum permissible weight of no more than 3.5 tons) in the winter. These rules apply to all regions, including Krasnodar and the region, despite the relatively warm climate.

The absence of winter tires in December, January and February may result in a fine of 500 rubles in accordance with Article 12.5 of the Code of Administrative Offenses of the Russian Federation. It is important to replace your tires not only to ensure safety, but also to prevent problems with the traffic police.
The rules also partially prohibit the use of winter tires; all four tires must be replaced. The tread height should not be less than 4 mm.
The cost of replacing tires in the network of Shinservice centers in Krasnodar on the most common diameters (from 14 to 17) varies from 1300 to 2300 rubles for all four wheels. It is important to choose quality brands such as Bridgestone, Yokohama and Michelin, or trusted Korean and some Chinese brands. It is not recommended to purchase used tires, and the service life of new ones is approximately 3-5 years, reports BFM Kuban.
