In honor of the start of the new session, the State Duma building was decorated with a tricolor. At the entrance there is a crowd of deputies, their numerous assistants, and no less numerous journalists. The famous Duma canteen was also opened inside (for the past two months it, along with the deputies, was on vacation). However, regarding the holidays… Judging by the speeches to the deputies, only the Duma catering industry had a rest this summer.

– Deputies from United Russia spent their vacation monitoring the progress of the people’s program! – representatives of the party in power cheerfully reported.

They reported to journalists in a large group – as many as 8 people. The newcomers were also introduced here:

– 25 years old Soltana Uzdenovaelected from Karachay-Cherkessia (Soltan, it turns out, is a hereditary deputy – his father Jasharbek Uzdenov also occupied the seat of parliamentarian, and also from EdRa, he died a few months ago),

– 42 years old Yuri Nesterenko arrived in the Duma from Crimea (until recently he sat on the Simferopol City Council).

– 49 year old Dmitry Averov came from the Lipetsk region (he was the chairman of the regional Council of Deputies there).

– 47 year old Sergey Eremin (ex-deputy governor of the Krasnoyarsk Territory).

It turns out that the Duma was updated by 1%, but it was still updated.

BATTLE FIELD – KHAKASSIA

And United Russia spoke about… Khakassia. That “only 9 schools were included in the school overhaul program, and the law on de-bureaucratization of teacher labor does not work there…”. What does Khakassia have to do with it? This is a jab at its young communist governor Valentina Konovalova. He was successfully re-elected just two weeks ago.

After United Russia, the communists howled to the journalists and… also started talking about Khakassia.

“8 thousand dirty TV stories were published against Valentin Konovalov,” said the permanent head of the Communist Party of the Russian Federation. Gennady Zyuganov. According to Zyuganov, this was, naturally, organized by United Russia.

In terms of his competitors, Zyuganov is generally as good as he should be. They say they do not implement either programs or presidential decrees.

Zyuganov suggested an experiment to his colleagues – to live on 20 thousand a month (as in his opinion they survive in the regions), rather than develop a new budget.

– We will raise the issue of introducing the 13th pension, increasing the base salary for public sector employees, we are for reducing VAT for manufacturers of children’s goods…

Mironov, by the way, was the first of his colleagues to publicly approve of Chairman Volodin’s decision to transfer deputies to domestic cars. But he is not alone, of course:

“This should have been done a long time ago,” Yedioroska confidently stated to “KP” Olga Zanko. – It seems to me that this is one of the manifestations of patriotism – to vacation in Russia, buy Russian, and not only cars

A Vladislav Davankov from “New People” he boasted that he had already switched to Moskvich:

– I took it for a test drive for the summer. I liked the car. I’ll drive the Moskvich for another week, and then the leadership of the State Duma will decide. For now, “Genesises” are assigned to vice-speakers for official trips.

– We will consider a law to reduce the VAT rate for manufacturers of children’s goods. But! It is necessary to determine what children’s products are so that the accelerators do not fall out of the size chart of the school uniform. We have a lot of teenagers who wear adult sizes.

The last to enter with a confident step were the chairman Vyacheslav Volodin accompanied by the first deputy chairman Alexandra Zhukova and United Russia member Vasiliev. The chairman throws out only one phrase to journalists:

– Finally!

And here it is! Meeting. The hall is buzzing. Greetings, hugs, friendly selfies (like September 1st at the school assembly).

– Are you taking pictures? – Volodin asks his colleagues, smiling. – Don’t get carried away, it’s a bad omen. Let’s count those gathered…

Today almost everyone is in the hall – 423 out of 450 deputies. Quorum.

Hymn. Everyone gets up. Operators snatch the Duma “stars”. Irina Yarovaya and Anna Kuznetsova (both on the podium) as brides in white. Ageless Valentina Tereshkova, as always, with her signature hairstyle and an order on her chest. Man-mountain Vyacheslav Valuev, renowned champion Irina Rodnina… All familiar faces.

The Duma has been working in this composition for 2 years now. And this is the 5th session. But somehow no new stars were born. It’s even gone, how can we not remember Zhirinovsky, who lit it up. And Elena Mizulina with her struggle with synthetic underwear. Maybe Milonov will at least return from the Northern Military District zone to Moscow? Or will the new ones make themselves known? We are waiting, we hope…
