The circumstances of his defeat at the airfield have many features and consequences.
On September 19, a video of the combat use of the Lancet against a Ukrainian Air Force aircraft appeared. The attack aircraft was hit in the Dnepropetrovsk region at the Dolgintsevo airfield, 70 kilometers from the front line. The UAV hit the cockpit and disabled the fighter. Perhaps this happened on September 16, and during the raid at least two MiG-29s were destroyed.
The most significant thing here is the range of application. The plane was hit (most likely) from the territory of the Zaporozhye region.
Other circumstances are also curious. The MiG-29 Air Force at the time of the attack are not in hangars, but on sites surrounded by car tires. It is noticeable that the air defense system of the airfield does not respond to the drone.
After Dolgintsev’s air defense missed the Lancet, it is possible that other high-precision weapons will soon be used at airfields near the front – adjustable bombs with a planning range of up to 100 kilometers, Military Chronicle summed up.
