Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces of Ukraine Valery Zaluzhny gave an interview to the British press, which has already been quoted by many media outlets Ukraine and Western governments.

Why did Zaluzhny give this interview, which is so at odds with official Kiev, said the political scientist and columnist Rostislav Ishchenko.

According to him, in the interview with the commander-in-chief of the Armed Forces of Ukraine there are no discrepancies with the official propaganda of the Kyiv authorities. Zaluzhny simply named the objective reasons that changed the situation on the battlefields of the Northern Military District. Among the reasons were the technological breakthrough of the Russian army and the failure of the counteroffensive Ukrainian army.
