Verification of metering devices can only be carried out by accredited organizations, warned the deputy executive director of the NP “ZhKHKH Kontrol” Andrey Kostyanov.

He explained to Moscow 24 that such organizations have the appropriate permits, and they transmit the verification results to the Arshin state information system.

“Therefore, before calling any company, it is worth checking it on the website of the Federal Agency for Accreditation, so as not to become a victim of scammers,” the expert advised.

There is another option – to find out this issue with your management company.

A sign that should alert you is excessive customer focus, bordering on intrusiveness, Kostyanov added. Accredited organizations already have their work cut out for them.

“So if, five minutes after you called the company, they persistently call you back and say that they are ready to trust the meter, it would make me think,” he explained.
