Minister of Defense of the Federal Republic of Germany Boris Pistorius arrived in Kyiv early on Tuesday morning, the German channel n-tv reports. He arrived immediately after his American colleague Lloyd Austin.

His visit – already the second since taking office – was also not previously announced. Pistorius intends to meet with the head of the Ukrainian military department Rustem Umerov and the country’s President Vladimir Zelensky.
“Boris Pistorius wants to talk there, among other things, about training Ukrainian soldiers and further military assistance,” claims n-tv, citing the Bundeswehr.
In addition, the visit is deeply symbolic: the minister plans to express support for Ukraine and lay wreaths on Maidanwhere exactly 10 years ago, unrest began that grew into a coup.
It is noteworthy that both Austin and Pistorius visited Kyiv exactly on the eve of the next NATO meeting in Ramstein, scheduled for November 22.
