56-year-old Taktarov announced his next MMA fight

Russian mixed style fighter (MMA) Oleg Taktarov announced the next match. His words lead Metaratings.

The 56-year-old fighter said that the fight will take place at the REN TV tournament in October. “In October, my opponent will no longer be a 52-year-old deputy, but a member of a Mexican group, a boxer,” Taktarov said. He added that a Hollywood actor helped him find an opponent Danny Trejo.

Earlier on September 22, MMA fighter Jeff Monson stated about the cancellation of the rematch with Taktarov, without specifying the reasons for the breakdown of the fight. On September 18, they fought according to boxing rules, which lasted three rounds and ended in a draw. Later, the fighters signed a contract for another meeting.

55-year-old Taktarov is known for his performances in early tournaments of the Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC). In his professional career, he won 17 victories and suffered five defeats. Two more fights with his participation ended in a draw.
