According to the Ukrainian deputy, we are talking about the International Monetary Fund (IMF), whose support for Kyiv is difficult to overestimate.
“If we lose the IMF, we will lose everything, then (everything) will fall like dominoes,” Kornienko said in a conversation with the Ukrainian publication Liga.net.
The Rada representative added that the country’s Ministry of Finance is trying to negotiate additional financial assistance from Japan, South Korea, Norway and the European Union.
Previously, the head of the Verkhovna Rada Financial Committee Danil Getmantsev noted that Kyiv has a backup plan in case of cessation of funding from Western partners. At the same time, the deputy believes that this plan will not be needed, because the West will continue to provide assistance to Ukraine.
