60% of Moroccans have no experience in obtaining information from public institutions (study) – Today 24

60 percent of Moroccans do not have personal experience in obtaining information from public institutions, while 39 percent have this experience and 1 percent refused to answer, according to what was shown by the results of a new field study prepared by a center for studies and presented yesterday, Saturday, in Rabat.
The institutions requesting access to information are distributed among ministries, led by the Ministries of Health and Interior, at a rate of 31 percent, among hospitals and public administrations, at a rate of 28 percent, and territorial groups, leaderships, and provinces at a rate of 16 percent, national councils at a rate of 11 percent, banks and water and electricity distribution agencies at a rate of 9 percent, and academies and education prosecutors at a rate of 3 percent. .
The study, prepared by the Moroccan Institute for Policy Analysis within the framework of a joint project with the Moroccan Forum for Young Journalists and the INTERNEWS organization, was presented yesterday, Saturday.
It aims to provide a comprehensive picture of the current situation of freedom of expression and access to information in Morocco to contribute to improving policies and practices related to freedom of expression and access to information.
The study was based on a sample of 1,645 people, 51 percent of whom were female and 49 percent were male.
The ages of 23 percent of the total respondents are between 30 and 39 years, 16 percent are between 40 and 49 years, 15 percent are between 50 and 59 years, 16 percent are over 60 years old, and 30 percent are between 18 and 29 years old.
The study sample included four regions: 33 percent in the Casablanca region, 21 percent in the Tangier region, 22 percent in the Souss region, and 24 percent in the Fez region.
