Ráhel Orbán: “I practically grew up with two aid organizations”

Viktor Orbán’s daughter told Blikk that charity and unconditional giving were part of her life from a very young age.

I grew up in a family where giving was always important

Ráhel Orbán declared Blinkto. The paper thought the prime minister’s daughter, a tourism specialist and businessman, was the most suitable person to ask about Christmas charity.

He added:

I practically grew up with two aid organizations. I helped the Children’s Rescue Service, which was founded on my one-year birthday, as a child, and I have been a volunteer for the Ecumenical Aid Organization, where my mother has been working for a long time, for almost two decades. I grew up in a family where we always thought it was important to donate, so almost every year, when the holidays were approaching, my parents and I visited disadvantaged homes.

The businesswoman told me that ten years ago, on the dam, she was packing sacks and trying to help with flood protection along the Danube, because then it was necessary to do it for others.

For the second time this year, Ráhel Orbán’s baby store, the ODU store, is collecting children’s belongings that are outgrown, unused, but still in good condition for Christmas – everything from strollers to clothes to furniture – so that they can be given to those in need through the Ecumenical Aid Organization.

I noticed that more and more of my friends are calling me that they have collected a lot of children’s things again, what to do with them, the parents don’t know where to put them. Giving as a gift is the best idea. And the store was created precisely in this spirit, we provide products for the long term. I am the mother of three children, so I always tried to pay attention to what we could use several times, to pass down a pair of small shoes, a backpack, or a jacket. Of course, after a while the third will outgrow them too! But we have also collected quite a few things over the years, which I definitely wanted to pass on

— said Orbán Ráhel, whose shop thus also serves as a collection point for families’ bored children’s toys and clothes, so that they can then be put in the best place.

In the spring, Ráhel Orbán bought ninety-four hectares of land in the Tokaj wine region, and after his mountain lair, he expanded his network of baby shops in Balaland, on the southern shore of Lake Balaton – this is already written by 444.hu.
