On November 15, it became known about Mamedov’s extradition, then he was placed in a pre-trial detention center in Dagestan. He is charged with Part 2 of Article 213 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation (hooliganism committed with the use of violence against citizens by a group of persons), paragraph “a” of Part 2 of Article 282 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation (incitement of hatred and enmity based on nationality with the use of violence).

“Tural Mamedov, who was hiding from the investigative authorities in the Republic of Azerbaijan, was transferred to St. Petersburg on December 22, 2023. Investigative actions will be carried out against him in the near future, including charges being brought,” the department informs.

We remind you that earlier in October, the head of the Russian Investigative Committee, Alexander Bastrykin, was instructed to initiate a criminal case in connection with videos of beatings of people in St. Petersburg distributed on the Internet.
