Top and music orders: which artists raised the price tag for the New Year

The fee for Stas Mikhailov or Nikolai Baskov for participating in the New Year’s corporate party can reach 6-8 million rubles, industry representatives told Izvestia. And for a performance on New Year’s Eve, artists and presenters ask from 10 to 20 million. The schedule of performances on December 31 includes Anna Asti, Vladimir Presnyakov, Valeria, Katya Lel, the Vintage group. Izvestia tells how much it costs to meet a star in 2024.

Breadwinner December

While the whole country is finalizing the final weeks before the long holiday weekend, Russian artists are participating in the main race of the year – between corporate parties. This race has logistical obstacles, but it is literally worth it.

— Do I like to perform at New Year’s corporate parties? Of course yes! I think that any artist loves it, because it is always festive, it is always the scale of the event, and, naturally, double or triple fees, which is also important for some. December is the breadwinner. Probably, artists earn somewhere between 30-40% of their annual income in December. It is, of course, a hustle and bustle because there are logistical feats that have to be accomplished. The artist spends most of the time in December on the road, especially if he is in demand and there is a demand for him, singer Rodion Gazmanov told Izvestia.

According to producer Sergei Lavrov, fees for New Year’s corporate parties for artists this year have increased by about one and a half times.

— If earlier, let’s say, Stas Mikhailov cost 4-5 million rubles, now he costs 6-8 million. Kolya Baskov cost 5 million, now he can cost 6-8 million. He has a lot of work,” Sergei Lavrov told Izvestia. — New Year’s Eve itself is still increasing in price. Many artists now cost 10-20 million rubles for New Year’s Eve.

Nikolai Baskov’s manager refused to comment on questions about the size of the artist’s fees. Stas Mikhailov’s representative said that neither prices nor the number of corporate events had changed since last year: “About the same as last year.”

In the top sales in December 2023, according to the concert director of artists of the Empire of Music company Tabriz Shahidi, are Leonid Agutin, SHAMAN, Anna Asti, “Hands Up!”, Basta, Polina Gagarina, “Ivanushki International”, Grigory Leps, Dima Bilan, Klava Koka, Vladimir Presnyakov and a number of other artists. The top ten presenters/entertainers include Igor Vernik, Mitya Khrustalev, Timur Rodriguez, Ekaterina Skulkina, Ekaterina Varnava, Lera Kudryavtseva, Yana Churikova, Mikhail Galustyan, Marina Kravets and Andrey Malakhov.

Price for holiday

The market, experts say, has revived. There are a lot of orders, despite the fact that a corporate event with the participation of a star can cost 10 million rubles or more.

“Budgets have changed by 30-50%,” producer Sergei Lavrov told Izvestia. — 10 million is the minimum. Pay the artist’s fee – 6 million. Then, if it is outside of Moscow, then you need to pay for his flight, hotel, transport and most importantly – sound. For example, we recently worked with Stas Mikhailov in Irkutsk. 1.2 million cost just to install the sound. The sound rider will be approximately the same for Valeria, Mikhailov, and Kirkorov. Mikhailov’s flight with his team cost 700 thousand. 300 thousand – hotel. Consider that 2-3 million are just expenses.

Industry representatives note: the rise in prices for pre-New Year corporate events in the Russian Federation by the end of 2023 is associated exclusively with an increase in artist fees.

“Which, in turn, are associated with the volatile behavior of currencies and the disappearance of Ukrainian artists and artists who did not support our Motherland (or vaguely formulated their attitude to the policies of the Russian Federation), ”Tabriz Shahidi, concert director of the artists of the Empire of Music company, explained to Izvestia.

There is also demand for stars of the 2000s. Concert director of the groups “Fabrika”, “Roots” and singer Victoria Daineko Dmitry Kurashev shared that the rates have increased this year for all his charges compared to the previous two or three years.

— All teams work on New Year’s Eve, and, perhaps, this is the best indicator of demand. The leaders are the group “Factory”, which has three performances in Moscow. Prices, of course, have increased, but not as much as for table eggs,” he noted in an interview with Izvestia.

Singer Valeria won’t have time for home feasts on New Year’s Day either. She performs at several venues at once, including the Turandot restaurant and the Hyatt hotel. However, despite such high demand, according to producer Joseph Prigozhin, it remains in the same price category as the previous 10 years.

— This New Year we will have four corporate events. That’s how we live. We are trying to keep up. We will have a rest sometime after January 7th. And before that, Valeria also takes part in the musical “The Nutcracker”. We have a lot of events this year, various New Year’s filming. A very busy year! – Joseph Prigogine told Izvestia.

Golden ticket

Corporate parties are held for their own people, but you can still celebrate the New Year with a star, albeit by shelling out a hefty sum for a ticket. Vladimir Presnyakov and Anna Asti will perform on December 31 at the Barvikha Luxury Village concert hall. The program also includes Santa Claus, competitions, a DJ and dinner from Italian chef Massimo Parente. The pleasure costs from 50 thousand to 200 thousand rubles. Anna Asti’s performance on New Year’s Eve is also announced at the VK Gipsy site. The minimum ticket price is 7.9 thousand, the maximum is 550 thousand rubles (table for ten to 10 people).

Olga Seryabkina, Seville (Artik&Asti), illusionist Sergei Safronov, rapper Mot will perform at The Carlton, Moscow. The price tag for a ticket per person reaches 350 thousand rubles. The latter, by the way, should be celebrated on New Year’s Eve in the capital’s Soho Rooms. There the entrance fee is from 12 thousand to 25 thousand rubles.

See Valeria at the New Year’s gala dinner at the Hyatt Regency Moscow – for 55-85 thousand rubles. And in the Turandot restaurant she will be accompanied on stage by Sergey Lazarev. In addition, “The Nutcracker” will be shown there. Tickets for this show start from 49 thousand rubles (children) and up to 199 thousand rubles (VIP).

Another option to spend a holiday with the stars, the most budget-friendly compared to the previous ones, is New Year’s Eve in the capital’s gastromarket “Around the World” for 5 thousand rubles. The Vintage group will see off 2023. The theme of the party is cosmic, so after twelve, the main Russian ambassador of all things unearthly, Katya Lel, will celebrate the New Year with the guests. She shared with Izvestia that in 2024 our country will face “big changes, transformations, and Russia will declare itself in such a way that the whole world will respect us.”
