A study by Recurrent magazine based on data from the on-board computers of 10 thousand electric vehicles of 12 different models found that all electric vehicles lose range in cold weather, but some show greater resistance to Russian winter conditions.

The leaders in the ranking were the Audi e-tron, which reduced mileage by only 16%, and the Hyundai Kona, which lost 34%, but has the largest winter range thanks to its large battery.
While Tesla cars, with the exception of the Model S, were not among the leaders, they still posted a moderate loss of 24%.
The study emphasizes that to choose the most cold-resistant model, it is important to pay attention not only to the battery, but also to the presence of a “winter package” – a set of options that help save battery.
