Experts from the AvtoVzglyad publication shared information that dispelled several common myths about automobile fuel. They explained that the octane rating of a fuel is not related to its quality and there may be cases where low octane gasoline is suitable for certain types of engines.

A second myth about the damage caused by cleaning additives in gasoline has been debunked by experts, who noted their beneficial properties, including removing carbon deposits and cleaning injectors.

Finally, experts refuted the myth that car manufacturers recommend higher octane fuel because of its cost. They argue that cars are capable of running on different types of gasoline, and manufacturers are adapting engines to market conditions, including changes in fuel availability.
