This unusual military field temple was opened at the training center of the Novosibirsk Military Institute of National Guard Troops.

The first service there was conducted by the priest of the Novosibirsk Diocese of the Russian Orthodox Church, Andrei Romashko.

The tent itself is made in the form of a temple. A cross rises above a sturdy canvas on a steel frame. The altar part is fenced off inside, there are the Royal Doors, and there is also a stove for heating. The military field temple is dedicated to saints Alexander Peresvet and Andrei Oslyaba – heroes of the Battle of Kulikovo, warrior monks who gave their lives for the faith and the Fatherland.

Head of the Novosibirsk Military Institute named after Army General I.K. Yakovlev troops of the Russian National Guard Valery Kosukhin noted that the military field temple will be located on the territory of the training center from the beginning of May to the end of September, at a time when the personnel are learning the basics of military science.

The major general expressed confidence that such a temple would help strengthen the faith and fortitude of the cadets in rather difficult field conditions.

If believers like the idea, then in the future it is planned to mass produce such camp temples-tents to be sent to the Northern Military District zone.
