The President of the Government, Pedro Sánchez, has introduced into his speech on immigration for the first time during the African tour, which began last Tuesday, the need for countries of origin to accept the repatriation of those who arrive illegally to Spain. After recalling that criminal organisations that traffic in human beings are intertwined with terrorist networks and drug trafficking, he added: “To combat these threats, the return of those who have arrived in Spain illegally is essential, mainly because this return sends a clear, strong and discouraging message to the mafias and to those who put themselves in their hands.”
