According to the two-time Olympic hockey champion Alexandra Kozhevnikovathe Avtomobilist team may turn out to be serious contender for the Gagarin Cup in the current KHL season.

Despite the fact that the team did not show outstanding results in the regular season, the experienced players on their roster have enough experience and can prove themselves in the playoffs.

“I’ll say that Avtomobilist didn’t look very good in the regular season. But the players there are experienced, three lines went through a lot of playoffs. They can shoot too,” Kozhevnikov said in a conversation with the Championship.

Kozhevnikov noted that in the hockey playoffs all teams have an equal chance of success, and Avtomobilist is no exception.
