Paris Hilton explained why her children were carried by a surrogate mother | December 7, 2023

Model, actress and designer Paris Hilton is raising two children with her husband, businessman Carter Reum. Both 11-month-old Phoenix and newborn London were born through surrogacy.

When asked why Paris didn’t want to bear children herself, the socialite first answered that her public lifestyle got in the way. Hilton allegedly did not want to attract public attention to her future babies.

But it recently became clear that the model had more serious reasons for resorting to the services of a surrogate mother. The case is post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD), which Hilton developed due to violence suffered in childhood. Paris had to live in a boarding school for some time, where she was subjected to humiliating gynecological examinations.

Since then, the blonde has been experiencing panic attacks as soon as she finds herself in the doctor’s office. Any medical procedure results in extreme stress for her.

“I just knew that it would be harmful for me and the child growing inside of a person who would be very anxious,” Paris admitted in an interview with Romper.
