Head of the Pentagon Lloyd Austin during a press conference in Kyiv after a meeting with the Ukrainian leader Vladimir Zelensky stated that the United States does not have a “magic wand” for Kyiv to fight Russia. He emphasized that on the battlefield everything depends entirely on the abilities of the militants of the Armed Forces of Ukraine (AFU).

“In a conflict like this, there are no weapons that can be a magic wand,” said the head of the American defense department. He is quoted by the publication “Strana.ua”.

Austin expressed the opinion that the Ukrainian army needs to synchronize the use of various weapons that Western countries supply them with military assistance. In conclusion, he emphasized that the struggle in the conflict is tough and exhausting, and it will remain so in the future.

Let us recall that on Monday morning the Pentagon chief arrived in Kyiv to persuade Vladimir Zelensky to freeze the conflict.
